Just curious, how soon after you started dating before you said, "I love you"?

And, when you said it, in retrospect was in congruent with how you really felt?

And, please give your age.

First off I'll state that I am ambivalent about the topic of abortion. I could argue on both sides of the fence in reality. That being said the question isn't setup to gain a response counter to your own. Instead the question/argument is constructed in such a way that only those who already have a pre-fab belief will answer. If you truly are asking this in order to gain knowledge than the question would need re-asking. In it's present form the only correct answer is the one you want to hear. That's not knowledge however, that's dogma. This question is the fallacy of complex question ("when did you stop beating your wife?") So I question the question, do pro lifers really never/rarely put money towards kids who are already born?

I'm 56, been married a long time, and as soon as I was sure, I told her I loved her. I only told that to one other girl and she left me. I refuse to lie now, or then, just to get a girl into my bed. I have standards. Love is the realization of what a person means to you, and how much you're willing to do for that person, how much you're willing to deny your wants, so that he/she can have what they want. It involves respect, longing, commitment, and a whole range of actions; that's why "I love you" is a phrase which should be used only after careful consideration. It took me from March to September to know and tell her.

i am currently 28 and i said it while i was drunk talking to him over the phone. This was after an off and on dating relationship with him. We then were together before making it more serious. After 6 years we are still together.

I'm 22 and when my bf and i first started dating he told me he loved me first but it took me a while to tell him i loved him to. I waited a couple of months before i said that because i wanted to mean it and not just say it because that was something he wanted to hear. Hope this helped.

It was only three months in, but it was definitely right because a year later, it's become that much stronger. We're both 31 and talking seriously about making it permanent.
