I think you may have stomach ulcers. They can be caused by things you eat, or just stress. the only way to find out, though is to go to your Dr.

I get heartburn from all sorts of things, the worst for me is tomatoes. Food doesn't have to be spicy, it could have to do with how quickly you consume it, or if you lie down, or exercise, too quickly after eating.

There is an article in the Readers Digest on the very thing you have troubling your stomack. It' called" quit your belly aching." Page 111 of Dec. - 07 issue. One of the best iv'e seen on the subject.

you don't have to eat spicy food to get heartburn...take some OTC meds...and see your Dr. (Prilosec, Tums, Maalox, Zantac..etc)

Fat/greasy/oily food is more likely to cause hearburn than spicy food.

May be lactose intolerance. Cut out bread and dairy for three days to check.
