mpg files please help?

okay. my sony hdd camera really sucks. it records mpg files. and whne I want to import the into windowsmovie maker is says an interferance has to many methods to fire from. wtf? my videos go into my picture folder alot. but can you help? Ireally want to edit my clips. I click on my files and it says an interferance has to many methods to fire from. so I cant import them to edit them. PLEASE HELP!

where can I get the avi converter? and windows movie maker will except it so I can edit it?

Convert it with eRightSoft's SUPER to AVI or something else MovieMaker will import.
