The devil wanted to be like God and God damned him. Jesus said he was God and went on to sit on the right hand side of his father. So, if God wants us to be one with him how is that possible? If we are Good, we are being like God. If we're bad we're being like Satan. If we're both we're being like God for God can love and hate, save and kill. If we're perfect we're being like God. If we're imperfect we are being like Satan. What does it mean to be one with God?

The Devil wanted to be BETTER than God, and he damned him. Jesus never said he was God, he said he was God's son. We can try to be like Jesus all we want, but Satan will not allow that, so we are allowed to figure things out for ourselves, make our own decisions. It is my opinion that we are in this world only as a test to see if we are good enough to go to Heaven in the next life. We will never be perfect until we get to heaven. To be one with God means you have been saved and believe Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour God sent to save the world and have a relationship with Him.

If your Spirit hasn't been Born-Again (Recreated) you can Still Take your "FreeWill" and Chose to be "Good".
That won't get you into Heaven.
Now, AFTER you chose to get your Spirit Recreated (Saved--Romans 10:9 KJV) you Become a Child of GOD, on your Way to Heaven but then You Can Take your FreeWill (as a Child of GOD) and Chose to do Wrong!!!

It's quite simple to be one with God. Confess the Lord Jesus Christ and follow him. Confess that his shed blood covers your sins. Every time you sin, confess your sin to God, repent and turn away from it. Trust in the Lord Jesus and put no faith in your abilities. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in the Spirit.

there are none good but god,
have u ever broken one of the 10 comandments? that makes you a liar, theif, murderer etc etc
that is why you must repant from your sins and ask jesus for forgiveness and accept him as your lord and savior
since we are all sinful, we are bad, but we are turning away from our sins and focusing on good things, its sort of, kind of like a balancing act, though i woudlnt call it balancing because that is not how it works

to me this means to allow God (Christ) to be IN us, and us IN Christ.
that more than being Christ-like we try to let God be in us, and us in him so that God receives the glory...not us.
Satan/Lucifer is/was trying to receive the glory as God is to receive glory.
