Dont get me wrong, I wont bash them - but why do all christians believe they're right. Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, Pagans, etc all have their beliefs - why do christians have the "final say" so to speak when it comes to beliefs, especially when they're one of the newer faiths on the planet?

Ok, been in for 15 or so minutes now and I'm reading answers. Personally I won't bash anyone because I believe in a "higher power" and don't care if you believe it to be one god or a full pantheon of gods and godesses or if you do not believe in any faith. I just wonder because Christianity is relitively new when you look at world history.

I don't think my belief is the "right" one, but it works for me and makes me feel at peace, so I consider it right for me.

So many people get mad at Christians for saying that "Jesus is the only way to Heaven." We believe that Jesus is God and this is what He has told us. If that makes people angry with Christians, it's only because they don't want to believe what we do.
Christians don't try to convert non-Christians because we are trying to win an argument, just be "right" or earn brownie points in Heaven. A true Christian believes that Hell is such a terrible place that we don't want anybody to go there. We tell people about Jesus Christ because we love them. It's not about us or what we do. It's all about Jesus and loving others.
Everybody has the right to believe what they want. God gave us free will to choose Him. He didn't make robots. After all, how much would you appreciate someone's love for you if they didn't have the choice to love you or not. God wouldn't be a loving God if He didn't give us a choice.
Our religion is pretty old since it comes from the Jewish religion which dates back to Abraham, during the time of Babylon.

No, i do no longer think i'm greater specific than a non-Christian. the only grounds i will see for any Christian probable suggesting they are is they the two think of that because of the fact they are in God's favour then they are greater specific, or because of the fact they are much less sinning than non-Christians and comprehend forgiveness then they are greater specific. each of those assumptions are incorrect! initially, God needs us all to come back to comprehend Him and hence because of the fact some everybody is Christians and a few are no longer would not make people who're Christians any further specific than people who're no longer. Secondly, the Bible teaches that because of the fact the autumn interior the backyard of Eden then all adult adult males supply into temptation and all sin, hence even Christians might desire to sin and this would not make us any further specific. If this 2d perception is a Christian's reason to have faith they are greater specific then i think they are incorrect. I persist with the perception that God hates the sin yet loves the sinner, hence He loves all and sundry yet would not constantly love what we do in our lives with the unfastened will He has given us. So, in precis, i do no longer think of Christians are anymore specific, yet confident, I do have faith that everybody is specific interior the experience that we are created with the help of God and that we are all unique and all have surprising features approximately us.

Hmmmm...that's a good question! I think because it's a central part of their doctrine, that there way is the only way and their god is the only god. Also, in America, we live in a society where this is the main religion, so I think that has a lot to do with it. I also think that some branches of this religion are more pushy than others.
My husband and his family are Methodists and my family are Roman Catholic, and none of them have gone door-to-door, pushing their beliefs on people. I'm Wiccan, and part of my religion teaches that there is more than one way, and that we should never recruit, people will find us on their own if they're meant to. I live in a small town in the Midwest and I'm pretty open about my beliefs, but in an understated way. I think the worst thing some people think is that I'm a weirdo, eccentric, or flaky. They can think what they want, I don't care.
My 88 year old grandma (who I love dearly) is a Jehovah's Witness. Sigh....Therefore I can't just shut the door in their faces when they come. It's part of their beliefs that they should try to convert as many as possible, my sweet granny hits the streets for this cult once a week. We love each other, but we just steer away from religious conversations.

Not all christians believe they are right, but alot of them do. And some people in every religion think that their religion is the "right" way too. Personally I think paganism is right for me, but I only say so for me. For someone else, it could be christianity, muslim, judism, etc. Maybe you're really questioning why so many christians believe they have to convert people or share the "good word". For that I don't know. I question that myself.

Because God the Creator of all things stated that Christianity -the belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour- is right, and God can not lie. For there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved

If i drilled into your head "you are a poodle" from the day you could walk, you would eventually believe that you are indeed a poodle.
Then, if I also told you that everyone else is a poodle except the guys in blue clothes with badges and guns.
Then I convinced you using a book I found that poodles are good and you should pee on anyone who is not a poodle.
You would probably end up in jail (or hell).
With the atheist numbers multiplying I have high hopes for a future of thinking people.

Christians have the Word of God--the Holy Bible. Jesus is the only answer because He paid the penalty for our sins.
No other has done what Jesus has done for us.
Mohammed, Buddah, Joseph Smith, and other religious figures are still in the grave. Jesus rose from the dead and is alive forevermore. Noone else can make that claim.
Christians serve a risen Saviour!

We follow the one and ONLY true word of God. True born again Christians get their knowledge from the guidance and direction from God who gives us the wisdom and understanding to know truth from lies! :D We abide by God's word! There is NO other true God but God in heaven -period.

I wouldn't say that ALL Christians feel as if they have the "final say", but the Christian God DID come down and tell us that there is NO other God but Himself. Then came back, performed MANY miracles including raising the dead back to life, and then died for our sins to redeem us. Then He raised Himself from the Dead also with witnesses! How many of the others have done that!? I can tell you, none. That's why we KNOW we're right!!

I have not seen all Christians on here say they have the final say so. The only one who is always right and has the final say so is God.
