check the main control unit on the inside of the car it may be diverting the heat somewhere else, and not making it come out where it should be coming out at,if both heater hoses are hot where it goes in and comes out of the firewall then the heater core is heating up,that's a common problem with those and if you can narrow it down to the main unit then that can be replaced really easy.but first make sure that's it,you can get a good used unit for 25 bucks at a salvage yard,or new one, your choice, here's a site for new one if you want one for it,good luck on it,http://www.dodge-auto-parts-dealer.com/

It sounds like the valve to allow the hot water to flow through the heater core is not working. This could be caused by the temperature selector or the heat selector switch. On my vehicle, only the temperature control determines whether the air is cold, warm or hot. You might want to start your car, get it to "Normal" operating temperature and turn on the heater. There is a feed hose and a return hose going from the engine block to the heater. If one hose is cold while the other hose is hot, the valve is not operating or the core is blocked and now allowing the hot water to flow through it.
