when you don't seem intersted in talking to him and invites you to lunch, do you think he interested in you or is just trying to be friendly?

Could be both, but not. He is trying to open your eyes to see that he is your friend, which could build into something more in the future. Yes, he is interested in you, but does not want to force the issue. Because he is your co-worker and knows you are not interested in him, he will do whatever it takes to get a signal from you to leave him alone. I know you don't want to hurt his feelings because you took the time to ask this question. Just let him take you to lunch. Be up front with him and, with tact, tell him that you don't feel the same way about him. You, will then still be friends and the both of you won't feel uncomfortable working with each other. If he is the gentleman that he seems to be, then he will understand.

He is interested in you but you should have lunch with him if you want and pay your own bill until you learn more about him. Is he married, a player, very shy except for around you, and so on.
If you are always acting like you are not interested in him, he may just be trying to be friendly as well, so only time will tell you which it is.

some people are just plain friendly, and don't pick-up on things fast.

on the other hand, you seem like you're not secure in your manhood. my first thoughts was that you are a man. it was the way you used your words in this post. if i'm wrong please except my apology.

just be kind and firm when answering and he'll get the message.....
