I have seen many ads for GEICO but I do not know anyone that has tried them. I currently have PROGRESSIVE but do not think I am getting a great rate with them.

"I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance"

Honestly I have beaten every insurance company and every insurance company has been me. Every company has their markets. The company I work with does really well with teenager auto rates and Homeowners insurance but we are horrible with Boat insurance. Just check around!
www.farmers.com www.netquote.com www.insureme.com www.quoteauction.com check these sites out.

Also keep in mind it’s not always about price make sure you know what you are getting. Don’t just go with the cheapest company go with the company that gets you decent coverage for a good price. Also look at their service that’s very important. Are you going to call and talk with the same person every time? Or are you going to be call a different person ever time? Maybe that's not that important to you. Do your research.

All you can do is call around to different companies or agents that carry multiple lines for the best quote. Lumping in your homeowner insurance may help and take out the highest deductibles you can afford....I always go with 1000.00 DD on collision or comp coverage and keep a credit card balance or savings for the event of an accident or damage. Make sure to get rental car and towing coverage. Call your state's Insurance Commisioner for a list of companies with the fewest complaints. Check rates every year as insurance companies will change rates for new customers to lure new business or offset losses. How well a company handles a claim is important too. It's all a game...just have to know how to play it.

Depending on the State you are in, some companies will let you select which vehicle the teen drives and insure the "family" accordingly. Does GMAC or Mercury insure in your State? The usually have some decent teenager rates.

I have a lot of clients with Progressive and their claim serivce is second to none....they are also the 3d or 4th largest company in the personal auto insurance market.

It pays to shop around. Look in your local phone book and find yourself a local independent agent. Just look for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you should be able to find a professional agent there to help you with your insurance needs.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Try Farm Bureau. A lot of us here switched and it cut our rates about in half. When I left Allstate for Farm Bureau my agent said they were a good company. They did not recommend Geico however.
