If you don't have money, try planning some place where you don't have to spend money, maybe a picnic or a park - be creative
It's wrong to invite someone to dinner and not have money, you can let her know you would love to take her out if only you had the money - if you are old enough to date, shouldn't you have a job

You're going to ask a girl out and have her pay for you and her? No don't do that. On the first few dates a girl would want the guy to offer to pay for her. She wouldn't ever expect him to ask her to pay for him too. Unless something odd happened while they were out, like his wallet was stolen or something. If your her boyfriend, that's fine. No big deal at that point. But when you're trying to impress a girl, offer to pay for her. See if you can get some cash from somewhere else. Or offer to do something that doesn't cost anything (i.e. a walk in the park, visit a free museum, or have a picnic). Or tell her you don't have money but would love to take her out when you do have money.

If she is pretty well off and she wants to hang with you then sure. You might want to know until you hang out with her a few times. Take her on a date where you just kick it. Get together and watch a movie at your house. Play some games together. Maybe make her dinner. After you get to know her better if you hit it off then sure, but maybe not on a first date. K.

Unless she's the one says without probing, "hey I want to buy *you* dinner," it's not o.k. to ask someone to pay. When guys pay it's because they offer to, and it can be the other way around, but don't ask someone to pay unless you are already dating them for a while lol

either save up some money to take her out or ask her to go out for coffee or ice cream or something.
It is soooo tacky to ask a girl out, tell her you have no money, then ask her to pay. Even if she offers to pay, always say no.
Why not pack a nice picnic instead.

I might offer to pay but not really want to and not expect you to say okay. That's really awkward. don't do it. Take the suggestion about making her something. It's much more special anyways, and you might be able to have a little fun more privately after anyway. haaaaaaaaa

How old are you? Age may make a difference. To me it sounds like a dead-beat. If you can't afford dinner think of something that is less expensive, maybe a walk in the park and some hotdogs. Geez

Instead, take her to a home-made picnic. Invite her to some cheap pizza and beer or something. Something you can afford and have it at a place both of you feel comfortable with.
Asking her to pay really turns girls off.

Either cook a nice dinner for her (and clean up aftwerwards yourself; don't expect her to do that...) or make a lovely picnic and invite her on a picnic someplace warm - even indoors someplace!

Depends on where you were taking her. A flash resturaunt is different to fish and chips in the gutter, but they both count as 'eating out'.
