I've been using many online dating services within the last few years. I wondered if maybe I am doing something wrong. It seems my profile doesn't get many hits. I have posted pics and written about myself in the sections where it says to do so. Is there something that I should know? How can I get noticed more? Does anyone have any tips on writing a profile essay that really gets you noticed? What has worked for you? Any advice here would be truly appreciated.

I don't want people to think I am slutty nor am I looking for "hot and sexy" comments. I am just looking to attract decent men or honest and moral character. It seems that currently on mostly all of the sites I belong to I attract men that are 20 or 30 years older than me. I am not looking for a "Dad" I already have one. I just want to meet a man that is near my age range, has the same interests as me and who hopefully lives in my area. BTW I have set the age limits on my accounts and it doesn't seem to matter. These older men still send me winks and messages...but no messages ever come from the guys I wink at or send messages to. Why is that?

first of all, it's better to meet people in person, not online.
if you want to be noticed, like get a ton of messages, be slutty. guys like that-- but i'm sure that's not what you want, right?

It's wrong for what he's doing but what I think you should do is play a little game with him. You should do a fake profile on that page too and should start talking to him like if your someone else and see what he like's to talk about and from there you will know what to do. Even ask him if he has ever cheated on one of his girlfriends. Just play it cool and you will know what to do. No guy should be on a dating web site while having a girlfriend Good Luck

Dont rush things... wait it out.-ull meet him. besides. the only way to get more hits is to post pics w u in like a bra basically. lol well low cut shirts n jeans. if your dat desperate to get attention then post that stuff.
lol for essyays. lol type stuff like: i love the night life n i want a passionate relationship.
lol either way if its online you dont really know whos out there n you dont need a website.
trust me. your already like by someone. there just too shy.
if you want someone honest who likes the real you not some slut then be content with the ones that have commented cuz they r gonna be so much more worth it than any guy that leaves a "u look so hot/sxy" comment

Try making one friend on a dating service by adding someone as a contact or something. Guy or girl. Then, try making a whore-code type of thing and try not to seem to desperate. Make sure you jot down every single detail you'd want a friend to know about you. Write what you're best friend knows about you! Be as detailed as posible and get you're friend yu've made to post you're whore code or get them to send a few people you're URL adress!

ive found that your profile is not really who you are and the only way to get to know the person is to talk to them --- i was on a site that allowed you to join a chat room (without paying) and then get to know people --- i never contacted someone from their profile that i had not already spoken to ---- best wishes
