What foreshadowing of Arthur’s future does Merlin offer, and how does this mirror events in Fellowship of the Ring and the New Testament?

well Merlin foretells Arthur through the combat of two dragons, and the Fellowship of the Ring follows the Hobbit which has a dragon in it and until the advent of modern times, people relied on the Bible to make their maps and put Here be Dragons on them where the Bible was silent.

I hope this helps.

The story was in the faith of the author with the though about the crusaders. So it goes with the Wise man, Merlin, as the guiding influence with the fellowship at hand, and King Arthur the leader.

It's a bridge over the troubled water... and Arthur would be prepared for it to be King.

It mirrors nothing as the fellowship is for the Kingdom of their Knighthood and not of God.

Just like Jesus, there is no proof of any King Arthur having ever lived. So that also falls into the same category as the bible - A work of fiction
