Why do so many people say that you only believe in G-d if you believe in the Bible(including the old testament).
I believe in the TORAH(not the new testament), but I still believe in G-d.
Please stop saying this all the time.

"bugsey", I do not type His name because even though it's in another language, it's still His name.

Because they want you to believe in their version of G-d. Don't pay any attention to it my friend :-)

You believe in the Bible but only part of it - the Torah - now what about the New Testament part? Can't complain if others believe in the New Testament as well - that Christ is God.

Some get a little confused.
There is a problem, though. The New Covenant superseded the Old Covenant, and sins are no longer redeemed by the blood of lambs and goats.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a New Testament and read the book of Hebrews. It's short, and it will give you the big picture.

Who says that? I know people who believe in God but don't really believe in ANY of the Bible. If you reject the New Testament, than you are not Christian, but you could still believe in God. There are lots of examples, Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, there are even people who just believe in God but don't belong to a religion, ect.
Happy Hanuka (Forgive my spelling!) by the way. And have a very Merry December 25th, even if you don't celebrate it. ^_^

I think I understand what your saying. However the word god is defined so many different ways.It actually came from a German word Gott, which is defined, supreme being, possibly creator of all things.God to some can be an idol from stone or rock.I understand that your speaking of Hashem the Lord God Almighty. But more often than not, most aren't.

If you had a strong faith, the comments of others wouldn't propel you to gripe and moan about what they think of you.
Good luck with that.
Meanwhile, explain why the Jewish assertion that Christ was not Divine should be allowed to persist, if the Christian tradition of asserting Jesus Is The Way has to evaporate.
âBugseyâ: Jews type G-d out of respect for the tradition - not out of fear. Now you're not so ignorant.

I don't know why people say this, but it's ridiculous.
It's true that you only believe in the Christian God if you believe in the Bible, and that's probably what they mean. Some people are so close minded that they believe their god is the only one that others could possibly conceive of.
I believe in God and I'm agnostic. No, it's not a contradiction. It's just me.

The old testament is the prophesy of the coming of Jesus Christ. The new testament is the prophesy fulfilled.

You do appear to have a working 'o' on your keyboard. I see lots of other examples of its existence. Why does it stop working when you type 'god'. Would it fail to work if you typed 'dog'?
Surely you can see how atheists find religious folk of any denomination slightly bonkers. Do you really believe that some imaginary entity would smite you down for typing an extra 'o'?
Come, come. I know the answer but am just showering you with sarcasm and ridicule, as deserved.
