Heard a wonderful sermon today,
stay pure and wait until marriage. This lady has a kid out of wedlock and now is saved and sanctified in the church. Her kid is 12 now and she has been saved at least 5 years.
Then, she preaches against condoms and birth control. Saying bad about a lady who decides to put her kid on birth control and a school allowing condoms in the bathroom.
I know a lot of young ladies who mess up and belong to church families fall under the pressure, get baptized and then "give their hearts to the lord".
Poor things. They need therapists and ppl to talk to they do.

I didn’t realize how absolutely ironic this was until I stopped to type it. No only does she know nothing about birth control being a grown woman who refuses to date but expects a man to marry her before she "does the dirty" again, but the close-mindedness and absurdity of a woman who has kids out of wedlock only to condemn birth control and condoms!

ever feel like your under a spell when you listen to these sermons. They make sense until you analyze. I wonder if going to a Pentecostal church is what marks the absurdity?
Hummmm…….

I wouldn't say that a church is full of rejects, rather they seem full of people who adhere to a particular doctrine because it is what they are told is good in the eyes of a god. Call it full of homogenization.

Only idiots are against contraception. It's technology for the purpose of preventing unwanted children and in some cases (condoms) the transmission of sexual disease.

She has gone from being a woman in a bad situation to a holier-than-thou nincompoop. People should have access to health services, regardless of their religious affiliation.

As a matter of fact, scripture teaches that Christians must remain celebate until marriage. That's not "some woman" teaching it, but it's what God expects of Christians. Also, even tho the woman herself had a child out of wedlock in the past, God forgives us of ALL past sins when we're baptized into the church.

Sounds to me like she simply said something you didn't want to hear.

I feel like I'm under a spell reading this garbage you typed! We shouldn't have condoms and birth control pills because we shouldn't be in pointless uncommited relationships! You get saved because you want to...don't get mad because people make good choices every now and then!

How can you miss the point like this? You have to really try.
Her purpose is to keep others from experiencing what she has - to wait for marriage before having sex. You missed that?
And yes the church is full of the failures, the losers, the sinners - all who Jesus loves and gave his life for... you and me.
When we finally see that, we can live.

Jesus calls for all, including the meek and the lowly, to come to Him.

Perhaps the lady you referred to realized her mistake and is trying to live her life like she thinks would be pleasing to Jesus. Anyone can make a mistake. It takes a strong person to admit it and turn their life around.

I truely believe that there is a sugnificant portion of this planets population that derives great beneficial security from their religous beliefs. If it works for you, go for it. If you have a lot of problems with concepts and rules that a particular religious group is putting on you, RE_EVALUATE YOUR BELIEF. It's really ALL about what you believe in your heart...

Christ himself was a reject, so I take your label and thank you for it.

Matthew Chapter 5:11 & 44

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

Well there is being so spiritual you are no earthly good and being so earthbound you can't receive the things of the spirit. I have seen both extremes and hope to walk the balance.

You attend something besides a church Jesus created. In the church Jesus created, women do not teach men.

Difficult to resolve isn't it - a council of perfection and the realities of life. You can preach either or both.
