Not really but, I love a really good chocolate brownie. Or those delicious cookies with the raspberry jelly in the center and the chocolate on the bottom. You know, from Entenmann's. Nothing like a delicious piece of Hershey's chocolate to make my day--good or bad!

Chocolate is a psychoactive food. Like other palatable sweet foods, consumption of chocolate triggers the release of endorphins, the body's endogenous opiates. Enhanced endorphin-release reduces the chocolate-eater's sensitivity to pain. Endorphins probably contribute to the warm inner glow induced in susceptible chocoholics.

It doesn't actually make you feel happy but does release chemicals which help to relieve pain (physical and emotional) and therefore you may seem to be happier.

I don't believe there is any like scientific proof for that question. Some people belief it does, some think it does not, I guess it's all based on what you believe. For me, personally, I think chocolate is good, but it does not affect me emotionally at all...
