Do strength training. Most people call strength training "weight training", but that's wrong. There is a lot of strength training that can come with just using your own body weight. How many pull-ups can you do - 10, 15? That's one example of a strength activity that doesn't involve weights.

A good place to pick up strength training too is your local Yoga workout center. Give it a try. Try an Ashtanga class or a Hatha Flow, they will kick your butt. You'll get stronger, won't necessarily lose weight but will build strength and you might meet some girls.

You're asking to do the impossible. Which is remove fat from one area only. Your body don't care if you want to lose fat from your stomach only. Your body will remove fat from all over your body however your genetics see fit. Some people lose fat off their stomach first, some people lose fat off their stomach last. Another virtually impossible thing you want to do is lose fat through exercise. Very difficult and time consuming to do. It is always easier and faster to drop fat by our diet. This ab workout DVD you have will BUILD THE MUSCLE THAT IS UNDER NEATH THE FAT on your stomach. But those ab muscles will never show until the fat is dieted off. Or, if you have a lot longer time schedule, exercised off. For instance, if I have fat arms, and I flex my muscle 1 million times per day, after 6 months guess what? I will still have fat arms. Don't be afraid of eating in a manner that will promote fat loss. THAT is not the same thing as 99% of he diets I see here on Y!A and in real life. THOSE diets suck. Period. It's no wonder people have such a hard time losing fat. Check out this forum. Your question will soon be on page 6. Why? because no one knows how to diet correctly and therefore they're on here asking questions. Now I'm ranting lol sorry anywho, good luck! And if you want a good diet to get that fat off your stomach, feel free to ask

That's hard to do. Basically, you have to build muscle mass. Something has to replace the lost fat. Bodybuilders usually bulk-up and train down. In the bulking up phase they eat a lot and gain fat and muscle. Then they train down by eating less and better and still working out so the muscle mass is maintained. Building muscle mass while not gaining weight will take longer.
Training with heavy weights will build muscle mass. And be sure never to skip meals. When you skip meals your body goes into starvation mode, your metabolism drops and you loose just as much muscle as fat.

There is a really good book called "Legendary Abs." It is a brutal work out that concentrates on your abs. If you do the work out right and make sure you are accurate to form, then you will laugh every time some yahoo says I can do a thousand crunches... I have a six pack without even flexing and I am over 40... Proof positive...

Working out/building muscle will keep your presence while you loose weight. Plus a muscular person burns more fat than just a skinny person.
Eat heaps of mushrooms, broccoli, any broadleafed vegetable for the iron & protein content. Go for a job every second night to shift the fat & work those abs every other night.

Well if we want to lose fat youll have to lose the weight that the fat weighs eat a low calorie diet and incease cardio exercises a day, (i assume around the abs, hit the weights while on the low calorie diet, this will build stregth not size(because you need an increased calorie diet to build) if you want to build muscle after youll have to gain weight by eating a higher calorie diet, that will gain a little fat on ya, prolly what you have now, so rather than me confusing you go to www.sparkpeople.com for a detailed nutirtional program to lower your calorie intake, and lift weights to make sure the fat you burn is pure ft mass and not lean body mass, youll prolly lose about a pound a week if you are strict on your low calorie diet.

A diet high in protein plus aerobic exercise will burn fat and build muscle. I, too, am a vegetarian so when I say protein, I mean the vegetable kind, like tofu, tempeh or beans. Crunches are great for your abs and so are leg lifts. Good luck!

Maybe you are doing the wrong workout. You need some cardio and you need to do a lot of ab workouts. You need to take some protein to build the muscles, especially if you are a vegetarian. You need enough protein to replace the protein you are not getting from the meat and to give your muscles some to build.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
