Glory - about 25 Hebrew words are used in the Bible and translated into the English word "glory." Primarily it speaks about worthiness or weightiness (weight in the sense of value or worth). Thus, ultimately, God alone has glory for God alone has worthiness. To give God glory does not mean that we add something to Him. We can never add to God's worthiness. Rather to give God glory is to acknowledge God's worthiness, to recognize it.
That is why sin is "falling short of God's glory (Rom 3:23)." Since we, as human beings, were created in God's image to reflect His glory (or worthiness), when we sin, we fail to show God's glory (or worthiness). The Westminster catechism catches the thrust of this in its answer to the first question "Man's chief end is to glorify God," that is to show case the majesty and perfection of God in the way we live, the things we do and say.

Its like if ou do something good and get praise for it then make it known that the reason you were able to do what you did was because the Lord is in control of your life and it would not have been possible without Him in your life. Basically, give credit where credit is due.

Giving glory to God to me means: Knowing that I could do nothing without him. Humbling myself and giving all credit to him. With Him all things are possible. i.e. "thank you for this food". I may have grown the food but I know I would not have it had he not given me the sun and rain to do so. The credit rightly goes to my creator. He made everything possible.

I think that glory for god is giving him all the gratitude and respect he is due, when we go to church and get down on our knees and pray it should be done with an attitude of gratitude and humility, but thats only my spiritual belief.

Credit might be something you understand.
Give God credit for all things.
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Giving glory is giving honor and praise to the Lord! Giving Him all the thanks! Giving Him the honor and praise for all He has done for us!
Hope that answers your question! :)
