A cold will normally last 7-10 days with or without medicine. The only thing medicine will do is make your symptoms less bothersome.

You can boost your immune system by taking Vitamin C. This will help shorten your cold. Also Zicam has been shown to shorten the length of your cold. Afrin nose spray helps as does running a humidifier in the room where you sleep. Tylenol or ibuprofen for fever, aches and pains. You said you don't want to take any medication. If you don't, expect your cold to last up to 2 weeks.

Drink lots of water, eat healthy, take vitamins, and get plenty of rest.
To relieve symptoms, heat up hot until it is almost boiling. Put your face near the pot, and drape a towel over it to hold the steam close to you. This will clear your sinuses.
