Okay - being a 13 year old boys explains the behavior, but it doesn't excuse it.

Meaning - there is nothing wrong with your son, it's a very normal thing to do, so you don't want to be angry.

However, it is not appropriate for him to do so (especially on the internet - it can be portals to a lot of worse things and bring unwanted things into your home) you do need to talk to him about it and why you object.

And keep a few Playboy magazines hidden for him to find. :-) Those are about as innocent as porn gets, no internet danger, and the articles are good (ha ha ha).

I think that just telling him you know he is looking at pictures of naked women on the internet may be enough to get him to stop. I also think this is a good time to tell him that this is an exploitation of women and you don't think it is an appropriate behavior in your home.

Is there a dad at home? What does he think?

How porn is porn? A pic of a naked woman is one thing, but are we talking Playboy quality or Penthouse or "worse"? Ya know? I mean is he just satisfying a natural curiosity, or is he developing a fetish? You may want to consider shutting down his internet until you can get everyone's head straight on the situation.

You should definatly talk to him about it.He needs to know that not only is this something he doesn't need to be doing but many porn sites have viruses which can destroy your computer!

Realizing him being 13 and very interested in the opposite sex, you just need to explain that this is not something he needs to be doing.

Children now days start really early asking questions and having sexual wonders.

When you confront him about it, dont be acusing or angry. He needs to know that you will be willing to talk to him about things like this in a adult manner with him.

Finally, put on a parental block!

best of luck

Install parental blocks on the computer. That way he wont be looking at those sites. You also need to talk to him about it.

You need to get NetNanny or some such program that will block those sites.

As to his curiosity, it's perfectly normal. Talk to him about it, and explain why he doesn't need to be going to those sites. If he does it again, that's easy to fix, no more internet time.

If it's against your house rules, then let him know.

You can also buy software which blocks out porn, and use it on your home computers.

You do need to say something because if you don't it could be considered a form of child molestation. You need to punish him in an appropriate manner for doing this, and you need to make sure your blocker is on.

It is a rite of passage...but, no one wants their computer to crash from porn...so get him a playboy subscription! And yes....talk to him...GEESSSH! It is your role as a parent to guide him...make him feel at ease with his ever changing self...didn't you wish your father spoke to you?! Quit thinking about how you feel about it...think about how he feels about it!
