That means it uses a component cable hookup. There should be 5 plugs total, 3 for video and two for audio.

HD does work this configuration.

Of course that assumes your TV is in fact an HDTV.

If you are unsure, just look around the tv for make and model number, and just run a google search on it. You'll find out quick enough.

the input that is reb blue and green is called component, it is an alternative to the composite method (yellow) that doesn't necessarily mean that your TV supports HD, although pretty much all HDTVs do have component.

component supports colour seperation with higher accuracy then composite, and is also designed to better support progressive scan, as composite can cause shimmering around colours when displaying progressive scan.

so to answer your question, 'no' the component plugs don't mean your tv supports HD, altough it possibly may still support it, thos plugs appear on most new SD TV's aswell
