"Vegetable oil" could be almost anything - especially if it is a commercial blend for a deep-fryer (a lot of those contain nasties like palm oil). If it doesn't specify the blend on the container, I would avoid it.
Some people have severe allergies to various cooking oils - I have heard of people having problems with peanut, canola and sesame (another good reason to steer clear of "mystery blends"). You'll have to work out yourself if this will be a problem for you or those you cook for.
Peanut oil is excellent for deep-frying and wok-cooking, because it is very heat stable - it won't smoke or develop "off-flavors" as easily as most other oils. Its balance of saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fats make it a reasonably healthy choice.
Of course, deep-frying is about the least healthy way of cooking to begin with - so moderation is called for.

Peanut Oil Vs Vegetable Oil

Peanut Oil is healthier for you. Higher in Mono and Polyunsaturated fats. It's also the best one for frying - takes higher temps better - like for stir frying or frying fish.

Vegetable oil isn't 'bad' for you - just that peanut oil is better for you.

Vegetable oil. Peanut oil is fattier. Although, your best bet is to go with extra virgin olive oil.

Will depend on on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fresh fruit personally. It's tastier and gives you that little of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to minimize back on sugar and lose weight vegetables
