A woman has more freedom than a man in Islam. Actually, Islam has given woman some privilege over man so that she can lead honorable life though physically weaker than man.
However, I think, You have put this question here because of the propaganda that, woman have no freedom in Islam and women are the slaves of men. That propaganda is just opposite to the truth.
Education is compulsory for both man and woman in Islam.

I hope you were asking out of curiosity, and not a chance to attack Muslims. I'll give you the benefit of a doubt. So what rights do women have? Well, let's take a look.

In Islam, a woman has the right to run for government, file for divorce, to NOT work if she doesn't want, go to school. That's a brief overview. If you want more details, go here:

If you have any specific questions regarding any quotes or things you have heard that you think mistreat women, feel free to e-mail me, or ask a Muslim woman if you want. There are plenty on Youtube:

80% of everyone who converts to Islam are women just so you know. Hope this helps =)

Peace be on you. If you want to know about true Islam please visit the website http://www.progressive-muslim.org/
The true religion “Islam” is based on the holy Quran(Koran), the Final Testament alone. You will discover so many things which you previously thought that those are parts of Islam but those are not at all. Devil and Mullahs corrupted true and great religion Islam too much that you will be shocked! May God bless you.

The freedom to sit down and shut up while the guy tells them what to do.

Yeah, sounds really great. What a deal.

She has the right to be supported by her husband. She has a right to receive half as much inheritance from her father as her brothers receive.
That pretty much covers it.

Rights? What rights?

I am a former Muslim for over 17 years. I met thousands of Muslims who left Islam. I could say with confidence, that most of former Muslim women left Islam because of the injustice they had to endure practicing it.
