Kait,
I have a question for you now ... are you that fly on my wall? lol
How do you know all my shortcomings?
Except for:
1. I still have my teeth
7. I have to much to be thankful for to complain but my memory is practically nil anymore.
8. I don't do anything special to look good just bathe, brush my teeth and comb my hair.
Thanks, we needed a little jockularity
Hugs

Thank you for a nice happy question.
New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !
A kid in Arizona wrote this ....
Since the Pledge of Allegiance
and
The Lord's Prayer is not allowed in most public schools anymore
(Because the word "God" is mentioned)
"NEW School prayer" :
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
.
Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father."

It has been said that "the eyes are the windows of the soul."
Could it be that the face is the reflection of the heart? It would be a great effort to show a happy face when your heart is suffering. I know some people who are more patient than Job, and while inside their hearts are bleeding, they are still able to show a happy face to the world. These are exceptional people and God is always with them.
A cheerful heart is always shown in the joyful face.

Funny. A few apply to me. 4 & 5 in particular. I don't know about you but I still see a young man when I look in the mirror. Unfortunately my wife doesn't see me that way.

Thanks for the guiding words to understanding aging. Here is another translation of Prov 15:13
(Pro 15:13) Happiness makes you smile; sorrow can crush you. (CEV)
