I know it sounds ridiculous and kind of gross but put toothpaste on it and leave it over night. Then when you wake up in the morning wash the toothpaste off and it should be smaller and less red.

You can cover it with makeup if you like. If you would like to try to get it smaller sooner, clearasil works pretty well for me. I completely cover the zit in a thick layer of clearasil every night, and it usually goes away a few days faster. It works even better if you start as soon as you notice the zit coming up. Whatever you do, don't pop it. That will just make the redness worse and it will take longer to heal. Good luck!

first, always wash your face after being on the road. and before sleep.

Apply a benzoyl peroxide medication to the pimple but do not apply medication to the surrounding area.

A facial mud mask may do the trick. The mask could shrink a pimple.

Buy and apply anti-bacterial, oil-free concealer to the affected area. This could make the pimple’s redness blend well with the skin color so as to make it less noticeable.

If you don't have a salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide acne treatment, there are a couple of home remedies you can try. Dot the pimple with tooth paste (not gel, the white paste) or with milk of magnesia (like Maalox). It should help to dry the pimple out, which will reduce it's size and redness.

Try dabbing it with a little rubbing alcohol. That should reduce the inflammation and kill the germs that are causing the acne in the first place.

Good luck!
