Is there a certain way I should dress? Are there any rules (out of the obvious) as what you should/shouldn't do?

If you are non muslim you should :
1)wear a polite and clean dress with a shirt and long trouser do not wear a short pant
2)put off your shoes or sandals before you enter the mosque
3)walk behind your friend who invited you
4)shake hand and nod your head with other muslims as you meet them in the mosque.
5)do not smoke and drink or eating something in the the mosque

Very minimal rules exist if you are a male, however the common practice is:
1) Pants (not too tight)
2) Shirt (preferably with sleaves to your elbows)
3) Clean clothes
4) If you are going to be following along with the prayer, make sure that when you bend over no skin shows (i.e. butt), haha. So wear loose clothes.
5) Hats of any sort are fine, but preferably a plain one without logos, etc.
6) Make sure and turn off your cell phone! Very annoying!
Honestly, the actual requirements are pretty slim, but this should make people respect you for the respect you are showing to them and their place of worship.

Ask your friend. Whenever I have driven by my local mosque, most of the men seem to be dressed pretty casual.
If you are a member of another religion, you should invite your Muslim friend to join you.

Yes, do not wear shorts. Casual cloth is fine, take off your shoes when you enter the mosque and put it with the other shoes.
You could set down at the back and watch. Do not try to imitate Muslims because you are not a Muslim.

Jeans and a t-shirt would b fine... dont bring any music (like ipod or w-e) in there bcuz ppl might be praying...
just respect everyone && trust me its a nice expeirence

Not if you're a non-muslim...but i'd dress up nice just to be respectful...like in khaki's or something

yes dont wear shorts....anything casual would be ok.....you must take your shoes off before entering and you must set them neatly with the other shoes...hope that helped
