ad seg is administrative segregation.if a inmate is presenting a danger to him self or others ,or if he is disrupting the operation of facility he can be place in ag seg.also called the hole ,and lock down.
gp is general population, where most of the inmates live.
when a inmate first arrives he goes through classification ,this includes crime committed ,lenght of sentence ,psychological evaluations and a host of other things .this will come up with a security level for that inmate, how much threat is he to public and other inmates .how much of a escape risk is he .etc.most states start low and go high.so a level 1 inmate would be a minumumsecurity inmate and level 4 would be max security.and if he hasn't completed his classification he would be non-classified kinda a inmate limbo

Ad Seg would be Administrative segregation (for instance, someone got in a fight, and was separated from other prisoners.

GP would be General Population, where all the "regular" prisoners are.

Not sure about Non Classified

Not that I'm aware of, but I took a blogthings quiz and it said I spoke 50% prison slang O.o It also said I spoke 75% Canadian slang and only 25% southern slang when I'm straight-up southern. So I don't think it was very accurate. the only prison terms I am aware of knowing are "shank", and "dropping the soap".

Citicop is correct. I would only add that Non Classified would be a new inmate who has yet to be assigned a permanent placement within the facility.
