akward workouts such as barrel lifting, and hitting a tire with a sledge hammer. can you give me some other akward workouts to do ? Thanks.

Try washing the dishes or painting the house or better yet, wax your dad's car. You can do it with both hands, one to wax on and the other to wax off : P

It sounds like you're looking for strongman type powerlifting. Of course you can watch World's Strongest Man competitions for inspiration (get creative!)
Filling up a burst proof swiss ball with water and doing various lifts with it is "awkward". A log flip end to end, where you walk your hands up it is good (use whatever - telephone pole, I beam, etc). Push or pull a car. Basically, anything that you see that is heavy but you think you can move or lift gives you an opportunity to train/exercise.
Things to do with your tire: Drag the tire with a rope facing forward and facing backward. You can also stand stationary and drag the tire to yourself using the rope. Pick the tire up and throw it as far as you can for distance, and then throw it for height. Pick it up and with your head in the center do shoulder presses. Do squats with it at/on your shoulders.

Best type of training for a martial artist (unless you're just looking to pack on muscle and bulk) is body weight resistance. Weights all build muscle unless used properly, and bulk after a certain point only limits range of motion.

Squats, lunges, isometrics, planks, pushups and their variations (clap, hop, one handed, etc..), hand stand walking, hand stand pushups... all of these build lean muscle necessary for powerful striking and blocking without adding much, if any, real bulk muscle. Do those in sets of timed positions, or repetitions in the case of pushups and lunges, and you'll feel a difference by the end of the week if you do them right. You'll also sweat much harder than using weights, and therefor burn more fat and the like while building what's called 'functional muscle.' It's called so because, after a certain point of mass, muscle serves no purpose other than aesthetic.

if u have access to a larger tire i.e tractor tire you can flip that. Kettle balls are also good for muscle endurance those are still more traditional. Check out bodybuilding.com the site is amazing, you can find many diffrent grappling workouts
