I am not saying that 30 wasn't fun too.

I can't remember too much of my early 30's because, unfortunately, I drank too much then.

At 32, I am happy with my age and who I am now. I was such a follower for most of my 20s. I love being my own person and not really caring what others think (as long as they think I'm nice, and kind, and fair, and different than most). I embrace my differences, rather than trying to hide them. Life is so much brighter and vital than it used to be. I can't wait for 40 if every decade is this much better!

Honestly, I am not quite "elderly" yet, but I'm pushing on the door, and no, I am not happy with it.

My body has decided it wants to stop being flexible, wants to have me take stupid pills every day to keep from shaking, and gives me aches and pains that I refuse to deal with, but they come anyway.

Don't have much gray hair yet, so that's OK, but otherwise, I'm fighting this old age every moment of every day.

Well, it has advantages, but some disadvantes too. Namely the slowing down of the body which is inevitable, but I don't like it.
The advantage of having seen things before is good, you can say 'seen it, done it' and not go there again. I still worry though. The ageism in our societies unnerves me.

I'm in my 30's and love them.
Mom says that her 40's and now 50's were even better. I'm sure it depends on the person. But I feel like things are getting better and better. i know more of who I am, what I want, what Ilike, what I wont put up with etc.

I will be sixty in January and I am having the time of my life. I have a job I love (Security Director) and I get to really have time to spend with my wife (who is home-bound by illness). Theis is the best time of my life. I get to do the thing I love (cooking) and really take care of my wife, who rocked my world for over twenty years.

No, I don't. I lived fast, loved hard, and was supposed to die young and leave a beautiful corpse. Instead I got old and hobble around like a dog run over by a pulp wood truck.

I'll let you know how I feel about being elderly when I get there. I just turned 26 so I'm in no rush to get there soon.

I prefer Rush Limbaugh's term... he calls them "Seasoned Citizens." My mother just turned 80... I'm just scraping into my 50's... I don't consider myself "elderly" yet... even though I have joined the AARP!!!

Have a blessed day.

I love the freedom being older brings, we no longer have to worry about silly wasteful things like being popular. We are free to be ourselves, and don't give a hooch if its popular or not.
