If your dog had been spayed she could not have gone into heat. Check for a scar on her belly but better yet, take her to your vet and have her examined. You should also try to get her medical records from the previous owner's vet to verify her shots, spaying etc. My guess is if she wasn't spayed she also is not up to date on her shots and even if she was spayed she may not be up to date.

First off before you have a pet you need to read on what the care is and no the differents between neutering which is a male dog and spaying which is the female dog and no if she came into season she is not spayed and when she comes out you need to go and have her spayed. Sometimes it is very hard to physically tell of a female has be spayed. Take her to the vet and find out.

no, a dog, once neutered can not go into heat. you can try looking for a spay scar in the middle of her abdomen but it might be too faint to see. you could feel it though. take your dog to the vet and have them evaluate her.

add- neutered does apply to both sexes. spaying however only applies to females.

I can tell you for certain that she has not been neutered. Females get spayed and males get neutered. Most likely she has not been spayed. Take her to the vet they will be able to tell you whether or not she has been spayed and if she has not you will be able to set up an appointment right then and there to get her spayed.

If she is spayed- well, if it was done after she was a year old, she might experience a false 'heat'. You can't really tell on a female critter if she's been spayed or not, if the operation was done right. But a vet could. You might want to take her for a check-up and mention your concerns.

She is definitely not neutered. That's what is done to male dogs.
If she had been spayed, she would not be in heat.
Who did you get her from?
Take her to a vet, get her spayed. Maybe the person you got her from will reimburse you.

Well, she's definitely not neutered! Females are spayed and if she went into heat, then no, she is not spayed.

If she was spayed she would no longer go into heat. There is normally a surgery incision or scar that is visible. If it turns out that she is spayed and bleeding you should take her to the vet.
