What do you mean by best? Performance, durability, maintainence, style, price?
If you mean durability and low maintainence, I've had two Crown Victorias, one with 210,000 miles. there have been no major issues. I also had a Ranger that had no major issues when I sold it with 125,000 miles.
If your talking about performance and style, a mainline model I'd choose is the Mustang Cobra.

I only buy Ford SUVs.
The F150 I bought 5 years ago is still sexy up to today. And so reliable.

It all depends on your price range...but i would have to say mustang all the way!!!! specifically i would rank them in this order:
1)Base Mustang (V6) (Less than $20K)
2)Mustang GT (V8)
3)Roush
3)Shelby
4)Saleen
5)Saleen Supercharged ($50,000)
