I wasn't made from FILTH/DIRT. I was made from the union of a sperm cell and an egg. That's neither DIRTY nor FILTHY.
And I'm not offended that God FORMED Adam from dirt. Could YOU? You could? Oh, but you'd have to make YOUR OWN dirt, first.
"...people are offended..." WHAT people What demographics did you use to find out what people were offended. What was the percentage of who WERE offended compared to those who were NOT offended. Could you please post your findings and the means you used to come to your conclusion that "...people are offended...." I just asked 3 people and they said they were NOT offended. So, 100% of the people I polled are NOT offended.
Oh, I see, you MADE IT UP. Figures.

Let me first explain that the Hebrew word used Adeem mean clay. Adam was named after the clay he have been made out of it, because he came from earth.

Now, your understanding of clay to be dirt related to your understanding of English. Of course the word dirt has this bad vibe in it (it is dirty because it is dirt).

let me assure you that other languages do not call the clay dirt and it is not considered something too profane like how it sound in English.

Dear Friend,

Just for your information, dirt and dust do not contain the same particles. Dirt has impurities in it and dust, does not. Please look up the definitions yourself, and then please read what Scripture says how Adam was created.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the DUST of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

FYI: Back in Genesis, there were...no impurities, contaminates, etc.

Dust: Any powdery earth or any finely powdered matter.
Dirt: Any unclean matter, as mud, trash, etc.

Thank you living God that you created mankind out of "DUST!" (grin)

Sincerely in Christ Jesus,

lostnsavd...

Dust it was my friend, dust. No bugs or lawn debris. Dust is like a little puff of,well, dust. It all sounds fine to me. I think it depends of your translation. Some say clay; others say dust. I like dust better. Islam says we were made out of a clot of God's blood. Think about that.

dust

It was dust!!

Dust is dusty not dirty. Besides, our bodies turn back to dust after we die. It could be considered worse that we eat dead things (vegetable and animal) and live surrounded by dead things. I don't care if the original material humans were formed from were dust.

Your phrasing isn't very nice. I don't even like Christians and I object heartily.

What's so filthy about dirt? It's not like we were made from poop.
