I believe it is. this rapture (1st resurrection) may not be named in the Bible, but it is certainly taught. just as missionaries are not named in the Bible, but taught. how can there be so much ignorance, even among the brethren about this doctrine?
Matthew 24:31 And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be left in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."

the rapture occurs when God calls His elect out, and the mystery of iniquity will come onto the scene (anti-christ). then the countdown for Israel to come to repentance will start. at the end of the seven years, israel will be pushed into a corner, and it will look like the end for God's ancient people... then out of Heaven, Christ along with ten thousand (a figure) of his saints will ascend. and by the sword of his mouth his enemies will fall dead. that is the coming of the Lord.

The ignorance is about when it shall happen...many have ignorantly claimed it happens before the tribulation.....
But Scripture says it happens at THE LAST TRUMPET.
According to Scripture...The 'rapture ' of the Church occurs simultaneously with Christ's second Coming in glory and the resurrection of the dead.............All occur together,(see I Thess. 4:15-17); ..."AFTER the Tribulation of those days"(Matt. 24:29-31)
"...At the LAST trumpet"... I Corin. 15:52
Don't be deceived by the fictional "Left Behind" series....which is based on a common misconception that claims the 'rapture' occurs years before Christ's Return. This is not found in Scripture.

Just because you may believe that the 'rapture' is Biblical does not make it so!
The Bible clearly talks of two groups - those that go to heaven and those who remain on the earth.(Rev.14:1-4;John10:16;
Rev.7:9)
The Bible does not teach that all good people go to heaven.(Ps.37:9-11,29;Pr2:21).
The ancient nation of Israel lost their favorable position with God when they had his Son put to death.(Mat.23:38)
Note that the word 'rapture' like the word 'trinity' is not even found in the Bible.
The concept of 'rapture' is not a Bible teaching. "Flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom".(1Cor.15:50)

As far as the millennium goes, Catholics tend to agree with St. Augustine and, derivatively, with the amillennialists.
The Catholic position has thus historically been "amillennial" (as has been the majority Christian position in general, including that of the Protestant Reformers), though Catholics do not typically use this term.
The Church has rejected the premillennial position, sometimes called "millenarianism" (see the Catechism of the Catholic Church 676). In the 1940s the Holy Office judged that premillennialism "cannot safely be taught," though the Church has not dogmatically defined this issue.
With respect to the rapture, Catholics certainly believe that the event of our gathering together to be with Christ will take place, though they do not generally use the word "rapture" to refer to this event (somewhat ironically, since the term "rapture" is derived from the text of the Latin Vulgate of 1 Thess. 4:17—"we will be caught up," [Latin: rapiemur]).

The Coming of the Lord
13Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words.

As long as you believe it happens AFTER the tribulation. Yes it is biblical. For those of you who are pre-tribbers explain away this scripture please....
And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:20-21
If Jesus returns for the Church before the 2nd coming then this scripture must be broken . Scripture can not be broken, Therfore the pre-trib, left behind myth is a bust.

no..."rapture" is not in the bible...
the argument is over whether those verses mean
AFTER the end time tribulations or BEFORE/DURING.
it doesn't really allege to either....
there are many other verses to go along with this one
that suggest christians will be here for the WHOLE thing
and don't get no free pass...

Nope.
The seventh trump all are changed, meaning no more dwelling in the flesh.
