Illness, hands down. When I was younger, I worked in an assisted living facility. I watched people slowly deteriorate either from age or disease or both. I can't imagine anything worse than living day to day knowing I'm dying. Watching my abilities fade, losing my dignity, friends and family either avoiding me or feeling obligated to see me. I want to go quickly. I would prefer my children and loved ones remember me as the vibrant person I am now and not a shell of myself as I die.

I agree with xo. At least with an illness doctors can medicate the pain. If you are in a car accident, who knows how long you could lay on the side of the road dying with no one to help, let alone medicate you.

Oh, I don't know. Some people linger for a while in the hospital and rehab facilities after a car accident only to die several months later from a complication from an injury from the accident.
Be sure to buckle up!

I'm not afraid of ANY kind of death. I had malignant melanoma when I was 21, and was given three months to live. I got very angry, and I FOUGHT that cancer in every way I could ... I had another malignant melanoma 19 years later, and I am now 57. I have faced 'death' and won, so when it's my time to die, I will be able to let go easily, because I know that God will be with me, and I'll go to Heaven and learn 'the rest of the story.' The one thing about death I am worried about, though, is my husband. He's younger than I am, and I don't want him to have to live long without me ... I think we both hope to die within minutes of one another, so we can 'continue on' in Heaven with no 'time to wait' between us. Yes, we will be together, because that is what God has promised us, and God doesn't break His promises.

I also agree with illness because you'd have to live your last days knowing that your going to die very soon
& with a car accident you die instantly.

That would depend on how much suffering was involved.I would rather die fast in a car accident than to suffer along time from sickness.
