I am just getting back into the dating game. And very very inexperienced. My ex wife was my high school sweet heart. So never really dated. Anyways
I asked a girl to the movies and possibly dinner for this weekend. And she said she would get back with me thurs. Is that a soft way of just saying No without dropping the bomb.

The reason for the movie is that we both love movies so I figured that it was our comfort zone. We talk all the time at work so it's not like we don't already have a decent friendship but nothing ever out of work. And I'm hoping that afterwards we can grab a bite to eat and get to know each other outside of work.

It could be. Or it might be that she is just not sure if she's busy on the day you planned. Or it might be that she is also nervous about dating. It could be a lot of things. Just wait it out.

It could be, if she gave no reason (like that she found out some sceduling detail that day) then probably. Also, if you're going out with someone for the first time, dont do movies! the whole point is to get to know the other person, which is hard to do if you're both staring at a screen for the whole time. If you want something less formal than dinner try lunch, that way if it doesent work out romantically its more likely to be less aukward, friends go out to lunch together. If it does work out then move on to dinner or other activities that you would both enjoy but wont distract you from eachother. good luck!

It is a wait and see game! If she doesn't get back with you there might be a legitimate reason. Either way the "balls in her court". If she doesn't contact you within a few days after then you will have your answer. I say a few days after because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt maybe she got tied up. Do extend her that courtesy. Good Luck

You need dating practise. The more practise you get the better you will be. This does not mean sleeping around. The sex part will get you into a relationship that you will not like or last. Stay strong and get to know these ladies that you will date. Go out and experience life and hold off on an exclusive relationship and sex. You will feel more confident and better about yourself. It will also help you not make the fatal relationship mistakes that we all tend to do.

Hmm, that's a tough one to answer. I, for one, might use that excuse if I did not want to go on a date with someone. I don't like hurting people. But maybe she has a good reason for letting you know later. Just wait and see and hopefully you'll get your date!

I should think that if she was really interested she could say yes, or that she was busy and would like to go on another night. It sounds as if she is keeping her options open unless there is some other reason, such as being on call with her job etc. It isn't very flattering if she is just leaving you hanging to see if another opportunity presents itself.
I think I would move on if she doesn't call.

Possibly, or she could just be unsure of you altogether, call her Thursday and see what she says or if you don't hear from her by Thursday at 8:30pm call her and find out what the scoop is. Hang in there, the dating world is weird.

I don't think she's saying no. Maybe she needs to check her schedule and see. She might have a really busy life.
