Extremely fun!!! Of course it is not a "real" guitar, but it does help people learn a lot of musical concepts - familiarity with a large body of music, rhythm, timing, fingering, focus, music appreciation; educational concepts - interactive play, advancement to next level is mastery-based. Also, it teaches appreciation of struggles of "real" musicians - practice as the road to betterment and demonstrating career highlights and pitfalls. Non-musicians can enjoy it, but even some professional musicians (AND their kids) find guilty pleasure in playing it.
So Adults - lighten up and try it before dissing it.
Those considering trying it, get ready to get your Rock On!!!!

It is a pretty fun game and can be pretty addicting. My friend and I spent an evening one night playing it and singing along with the songs as well...quite fun. However, this game does not teach anyone how to play guitar in real life, and nothing beats making music with other musicians on real instruments. But, for a night in or a rainy saturday afternoon, especially if you lack musical training, it's a fun game to play.

I hear its a fun game, but has nothing to do with performing arts, nor anything to do with actually playing the guitar. It wont teach you how to play a real guitar.
