I'm reading the english translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, and all the the way it's translated is difficult to me. Is there any advice you can give to me that would make it easier to understand? All the thy's, ye's, are cofusing. They say "they" a lot and it's hard to understand who they are talking to. Are "they" referring to Allah and the angels or "they" the followers. It's confusing, help!

the Quran is an intense book and it is very difficult to understand that is why many people use a TAFSIR book with it to understand the meaning of each verse. You can get this book from the library, it will help you understand the Quran better

Just for you to know, it is even more difficult reading it in Arabic even if you are native Arab.
What you are reading in English is not the Quran but the translation of the meanings of the Quran.
You could only read the true Quran in Arabic, even if you are not an Arab.

I guess you could try a different translated Quran. I have one that has the arabic version on one side and a translated version on the other.
But I know what you mean...its pretty tough to read. But its really interesting.

Religious writings are often hard to understand or purposely vague.
Basically, you may gain some undestanding of the religion but studing their culture would give you a better insight in to who they are. As for the religion, it is obviously made up.
Think about it, would you want to follow a god that waited over 30,000 years to finally reveal the "truth"?

The reason it is confusing is because it is contrary to the teachings of Jesus....
Muslims (and Islam) say Jesus was a prophet but they reject all His teachings ....that is hypocrisy.
They reject Christ's diety;
they deny his claim to be the Son of God;
they deny his death on the cross...
they deny His resurrection..
They deny Jesus is the Christ/ Messiah...
In fact, the Quran says : "Allah has no son".
Need I say more...?
Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ.\
The Bible calls Muhammed and those like him false
prophets:
"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22)
