Sometimes it's funny but at the same time a bit disturbing.

Some how it seems like they think if they write about God it has to be done in rhetoric to make it sound so amazingly profound. You know the kind of answers I am talking about:

"Why do I believe in God? All I have to do is look in the mirror and see one of His many miracles! To think we all came from a tiny seed planted in our Mothers womb to grow. And also to look around this planet earth and see all Gods beauty. To look at the heavens above and see more of Gods beauty. We cannot see God because He is like the wind, we cannot see that neither, but we know it is there! How can one not believe in God?"

I mean you never see an atheist talk about their beliefs like this do you. I also think it's funny when people quote the Bible, as if they are possessed. Anyway dnt want to make the q too long. Anyone know what i'm talking about?

Lookng around and seeing "beauty" is just nature. God is man made and the bible is false and full of contradictions. I have a hard time following any religion that bases itself on a book that condones slavery, repressing of women, and beating of children.

And you can't compare God to the wind. I can measure the wind and feel it. I have yet to see, feel, or "measure" god.

Prove there is a god. And I mean concrete proof, and I'll believe.

Religious people give answers like these because they have no proof or even an answer that makes any sense. If they'd read their own comments, they'd think they were crazy too.

I see a lot of ridicule towards religious types from fellow atheists. I think that arrogance is part of the reason we get a bad rap.

Faith gives people a structure in life in which to live by and, hopefully, a way of living that benefits humanity. I can't ridicule someone living a good, moral life. If faith brings a person comfort, then let them be comforted. I don't look down on them for it.

I do look down on the stereotypical holier than thou types with one finger in the pie of sin and the other wagging in moral condemnation of others.

However those who live a good, religious life and don't feel the need to impose their views on others are good folks.

As an atheist, I don't discuss my beliefs. I have no need to. The existence of God can't be proven any more than the origins of the galaxy. Everything's a theory. I just believe more in the theory of evolution.

Welcome back to the reality. God IS. i do no longer think in prepared faith. i've got got here across that in basic terms being religious has helped me notably. each persons relationship with God would be diverse. One troubling component of looking God is having to placed up with human beings asserting you're loopy. I genuinely may be insane, yet God talked to me and no you may tell me it wasn't him. you will possibly no longer prefer faith different than as history information. What labored for me substitute into observing what the bible says and what technological information says then attempting to be certain what made greater experience to me. For me technological information isn't smart because of the fact they only check out what's, they in no way ask how or why issues are the way they are. while you're gonna seek for solutions you may desire to ask how and why additionally. like the massive bang sh*t. the place did the dot come from? Why might it explode? you won't be able to easily say there substitute right into a dot and it exploded. Does that make experience? the hassle-unfastened premise for all is what they suspect to be the "commencing up" of all issues. A God that usually substitute into and could perpetually be, or a dot that recognized from no longer something then exploded. For me God is the only Logical "determination". incredibly you may desire to discover God for your self and you will no longer in case you do no longer attempt. look, pay attention, learn. all of the "warning signs" are there, you may desire to discover them.

Whereas GWB can state his affliction to religion in the US and not too many people think he's crazy, the ex-PM of the UK, Tony Blair admitted very recently that he played down his devotion to religion because he knew full well that the people of Britain would think that he was a 'nutter' (crazy).
There's one huge difference between the US and Europe, where the US is so backward in hanging on to fantasies while Europe is, on average, 75% atheist, a number that swells as the older generation dies off.
Why is the US so immature?

Whats wrong with believing that something unexplainable created everything and to look at life as beautiful. It sounds like you're trying to convince yourself that they're crazy. Oh and Antihero, what happens when you die and you realize that Christianity isnt an illusion? At least if the Christians die and find out it is an illusion they wouldnt have lived their lives for nothing.

So....you are trying to sound intellectually superior??
Oh I am sorry... profound :-)

Don't criticize another person until you have walked in their shoes... they might have some very valid arguments for the existence of God.
Ya know there just might be that outside chance there really is a God... If so I have not lost a thing.. ( although you might declare I ve lost my marbles)

Besides give those nutty Christians a chance... you might just find that one or two are really nice people.

I ve not made it a practice to criticize Atheists... frankly I like a good intellectual debate..no matter who it might be with.

Love... a nutty Christian... :-)

Lots of people sound crazy not just religious people. There are some real atheist fruit cakes around that sound nuts.

Some religious people actually sound quite plausible especially to the intelligent mind.

I imagine some atheists sound pretty crazy to some Christians. Maybe if they quoted from the atheist bible. Oh, that's right , they don't have one. What do they believe in besides unbelief?

The thing is, atheist and those who would denounce God have stopped listening to anything factual helping to prove the existence of God. All you say is that the big bang or some other crazy theory did this or that.
It's impossible for you to prove what you try to make out as the beginnings of life and so you decide to bash everything we say. So we have in turn tried to w00 your stupid little childish minds into something that sounds cool, just like all ur little theories!
