This morning Grandma spent two hours giving me (pretty good) reason on why God DOES exist. For most people this would have been enough, but I am still not convinced. After word my uncle spent another hour reinforcing the things grandma had said...still I am not satisfied...why is this?

Their Absolutist Extremist theology leaves out logic. If the God of the Hebrews exists, so too does Zeus, Thor, and the White Buffalo Woman. They have a slanted view of spirituality that says only their god is real while everyone Else's is fake. This inconsistency starts small but then balloons everything else up. Like a simple math mistake at the beginning of a complex equation will always make that equation wrong no matter how you try to wrangle it.

Also consider the source. Have they ever examined, without bias, the nature of the primate (human) spirit? Or, are they just repeating what they have been told? The heavy reliance on Authority in Middle Eastern faiths, like Christianity, means most of their Faithful have never really tried anything different for fear of Divine Punishment. They are told to just obey and follow, like sheep. It's not really a religion, but a social movement with an agenda to promote. Heck, most churches will discourage you from ever exploring what other faiths say about the condition of the human spirit, so they are telling you to avoid exploring spirituality and just read their book, just obey their Authority.

It'll happen if it's meant to. If you're not convinced it doesn't make you a bad person (in my opinion). You could be the coolest person in the world for all I know. If you're not convinced maybe you should look further into it. Talk to a professional clergyperson about it. It's good that you question and it's good that you are looking for answers. I wish you the best of luck with whatever happens.

Belief comes to different people at different times. Perhaps the time hasn't yet come for you to believe, but at least you are listening and thinking and you obviously have a family that cares about you. But who wouldn't care about an adorable little ball of fluff? Blessings. :)

I don't have all the answers. I don't know why you don't believe. But I will pray that God will open up your mind and heart to see the truth that He is trying to pour out into you.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

You're not satisfied because:
Maybe Grandma and Uncle were just force feeding their
"Little Fluffball of Doom" fish it didn't want to eat.
You'll find your own way.

Perhaps your beliefs do not concide with theirs, and maybe its because they are trying to force you to believe. True faith and belief cannot not be forced, it is something that you must learn and experince for yourself. The belief in a higher power has to stem from you and no one else.

I simply looooove your little penguin!! You are a cute little one. Reminds me of "March of the Penguins." As to your question, something like this can't really come from *outside* of yourself. Good luck on your path, whatever it may be.

Two interchangable reasons:
1.God doesn't exist
2.God wants to test you to see if you think he exists
