I really wanna do something to help other people like through an organization. I don't have really strong opinions on anything really controversial and wanna stay away from those but something like abuse or drunk driving or stuff in Africa. What can i do? what organizations can i help with?

Check out worldvision.org, the help children all over the world. Samaritans purse is another organization that goes all over the world helping kids, and they do what they say. Also St. Jude's Childrens Hospital here in Memphis is great place to give. They do incredible work there and they save kids lives. God Bless!!

A GREAT organization to help is the Pencil Project. They will match you with a needy school in Africa to help...it's real easy.

VolunteerMatch (http://www.volunteermatch.org) and IdeaList (http://www.idealist.org) list volunteering opportunities for thousands of organizations, more than a few of them probably very near your home. You can also see the UN's Online Volunteering service (http://www.onlinevolunteering.org) for volunteering with your computer.
