well i just tell mine straight up, im not ashamed....
be like "im not feeling well"
if he asks you why, give him 'the look' and be like "do you really wanna know?"
or you can say:
its that time of the month, or
aunt flow has come to visit

If you don't want to tell your boyfriend in so many words that you are in your period, then the next best thing I can think of to say is, "It is that time of the month". Surely he would know what you are talking about.
Of course I don't see what is wrong with telling someone you are on your period. As a man who was raised around a bunch of women, I know you ladies do go through your menstrual cycles every month like clockwork (unless pregnant).

sorry honey, but if he's going to be in a relationship with you, you are going to have a lot of periods. unless you wanna make up some kind of "code word" or something...you are going to have to just straight up tell him "hey man i'm on my period" lol. he can handle it.

You could just say,
"Im not feeling too well" (whilst cuddling up with him or whatever)
If he asks why just say My stomach is really hurting from cramps or something like that or even if you say your stomach is hurting he will probably know why. Hope this helped someone.

The only reason he'd need to know is if you guys are fingering/oral/vaginal sex.. So if you're uncomfortable talking to him about it, then maybe you should stop. Otherwise, why tell him?

If you aren't mature enough to say "I have my period right now", maybe you shouldn't be dating.
