Some people say that death is so disgusting, why is this? Misunderstanding?

I think its more of the visiual perception and the dying process than death it self. Misunderstanding, yes, and in some cases ignorance.

It has been narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:" Nobody who dies and has something good for him with Allah will (ever like to) return to this world even though he were offered the whole world and all that is in its (as an inducement), except the martyr who desires to return and be killed in the world for the (great) merit of martyrdom that he has seen

Most people believe dead bodies is disgusting, not death itself. I don't think the concept of dying is gross, just the image of rotting carcasses.

Depends on what you mean, the actual process of dying, after the process of dying, the personification of death, or the process BEFORE you die.

probably b/c they either have seen death alot or the dead person(corpse) not "death" exactly i dont find death disgusting i find it natural

I guess your into hard ,cold things -hmmmm well good luck with that!
try ice it's probably in your freezer....it's clean and doesn't smell..
