never seen any problems at customs. do you mean immigrations? if so it's always that way, lack of staff, not very good working conditions, and passengers not ready when they arrive at the control desk.

I was there in the Bangkok Airport on 24th early morning. Both in the Immigration and customs, surprisingly very less queue. More officers were there in the immigration counters.

Define hold up? 1 hour wait, 30 minute wait, 45 minute wait.???

Depends on what line you get in. If there is a large group in front, or people don't fill out their immigration cards right.

I always go down as far as possible because people try the first lines they see not knowing there are 2 other sets of lines they can get into. I was out of there on Nov. 18th in 20 minutes or less.

Which airport? Don muang or Suvarnabhumi?
What time was it, where were you going / arriving from?
How long did you have to hold still?
...did it hurt?
