I have had the same hairstyle since the 80's and I'm thinking of going real super short. I'm in my late 30's and I have 3 small children. I'm not quite sure what short style to go with? Where do I begin? Where should I look? Any tips?

I just did the same thing...I was so bored with my same long hair I had for years, and I cut it short all the way a few days ago. Now it's great, and I'm getting all kinds of compliments! Try something with ear to chin length layers in the front with side swept bangs and very short layers in the back. This style is very feminine, not boring, and easy to maintain, which is perfect for you since you probably have a busy lifestyle! Good luck! :)

I'd start by cutting it about half the length you want it and get used to it. Then, once your ready, cut it the full way. It'll give you the courage. Now, for the style and such, that's tough. I reccomend that you search for short hairstyles on google, or maybe search for your favorite movie stars and look through their hairstyles through the years. I get all my inspiration for television- you might try that. Sorry it's not a very thorough answer, I'm not too skilled on hair cuts...
Good luck!

For what it is worth...

I think wearing short hair is a sign of high intelligence in woman.

I also think that, done well, short hair cuts are sexy.

Good luck.
