This kitten needs proper food not scraps you find around teh house for it to eat. You are doing the kitten wrong by hiding it in the closet. Show your mom what you found and ask if you can keep her or take her to a no kill shelter or advertise free kitten. Do the right thing.........

A baby kitten needs very special care, especially if it does not have it's mother and was taken away too early. It needs to be fed a special kitten formula that you can get from a pet store or veterinarian. In an emergency you could try feeding it a soy or lactose free milk using an eyedropper or a piece of cloth soaked in it. If it is very young it needs to eat fairly often, then you need to gently rub it's bottom with a towel so it can go to the bathroom. Also to keep it warm put a lamp over the box, but make sure there is enough breathing room, in the box, don't cover it up it needs enough air. You do need to tell your mom and then both of you can decide how best to care for it. A baby kitten (1-5 weeks old) needs care every few hours, so it will need to be cared for while you are at school. If your family cannot do this you can take it to a vet, or a no kill shelter that will be able to take care of it until it can be adopted. Good Luck!

Yeah. You need to tell your Mom. If she freaks tell her that you need to take it to a non kill shelter at least. How old is the kitten? Are the eyes open? If the kitten still needs milk and can't eat solid food and you keep it. It will die. Kittens need several feedings in a day and will die or have permenant damage as adults if that is neglected. If it is olderand can eat solid food, then it is slightly better off but a closet is no place for a kitten. It needs cat food and nothing else. Tell your Mom. I'm sure she can't be as inhumane as to throw it on the streets. If she doesn't want it and you know it, I wouldn't push the issue. Tell her, you found this little kitten and you didn't want it to die. Say that it needs a home and some care. Tell her that you would love to keep it and if she is not fond of the idea say, "can I at least bring it to a non kill shelter so I know it will have a good, happy life?" good luck and DO NOT keep it hidden. You will get into more trouble when it is discovered and the more honest and responsible you are, the more likely she will trust you and allow more things. Good luck.

Tell your mom... NOW....!! A 14 year old, who is in school all day, is not a good "mama" for a little kitten. Depending on how old this kitten is, it should have food every few hours....KITTEN FOOD. If your mom doesn't want you to have a kitten, then she probably has a good reason. If someone in the family is allergic...that's a good one. If she just doesn't like cats, or doesn't want the responsibility of caring for one, that's a problem that you'll just have to live with, for now. When you are a grown person, living on your own, you can have as many animals as you can responsibly care for. I hope you listen to us, and get your kitten some help ASAP. It's crying cause it's scared, hungry, and lonely! Good luck ........................

Tell your mom immediately- this is serious. The kitten needs proper care- food, vet attention, etc. which you will need assistance with. There is now way you can raise a kitten in a closet. Saving the kitten's life is worth getting yelled at by your mom- she'll know what to do.

Is this kitten old enough to eat solid foods? If so, very small pieces of chicken or turkey or lunch meats. Also, whole milk or half and half. If the kitten is too young, you will have to get a bottle for kittens and formula. The best thing for you to do is to take this kitten to the SPCA. Kittens will dehydrate very quickly, so it needs immediate care!!

Is there a 24 clinic anywhere in the area or even a Walmart? They would carry kitten milk. If there isn't anything in the area, he can use infant formula, until morning. The kittens will need to be fed every 2 hours, and stimulated to urinate and defecate (use a warm, moist cotton ball and wipe repeated over the private areas until the go potty).

It's a baby... and it needs kitten milk, not cat food. Do not give it milk. Cow's milk will make it sick. It will be meowing because it is hungry. You can't leave it alone all day tomorrow, so tell your mom. She's going to hear it anyway. It needs kitten formula from a pet store. Don't let it die!!!

Yes you should tell your mom. Sorry, but if you can't tell how old it is, you can be causing it more harm than good. It might need to see a vet to make sure it's healthy. How long do you think you would be hiding it from your mom? Besides the kitty isn't gonna be very happy in a dark closet all the time.

You need to let your mom know being its a kitten it needs to eat. also being locked in the closet is not good for him at all.
The kitten good die due to the lack of nutrition and the kitten good also die being locked in the closet all day due to the lack of oxygen. It sounds like you are doing more harm than good. Just tell your mom or you will be dealing with the stench of a dead kitten in your closet.
