Well, you certainly don't want to gain UNHEALTHY excessive weight, then that will lead to later problems (heart conditions, stroke, etc.) So I would AVOID McDonalds and those other fast food chains.
I suggest that you eat lots of carbs and choose fattier meats such as pork or beef as opposed to chicken or turkey. I would eat lots and lots of whole milk dairy products. Fatty yogurts would be a plus, and you get calcium, too! Make sure you eat at night, preferablt before you go to bed, because while you sleep the food won't go anywhere and turn into fat, especially carbs. It might be a good idea to work out, too. Not like running or anything, but if you lit weights, you'll gain weight, because muscle weight more than fat. :)

Proteins are required for building muscles, so having high protein foods like eggs, milk, peanut butter, protein shakes will help you in gaining weight. Starchy foods contain a lot of carbohydrates.

White bread and white rice mix your carbohydrates with proteins and you will gain weight like there's no tomorrow.
DON'T eat junk foods you'll just end up getting spots and gain bad fats.
Also build up muscle mass to make yourself bigger and to keep healthy and toned while gaining weight.

The best things to eat are dried fruits and nut butters. Make sure you're getting an extra serving of lean protein, too, and that you're exercising, so not everything you eat turns to jiggly fat!

Your body needs 25 cal per kg, so if you want to weight 70kg, you need 1750 for example. Try eating foods with lots of protein and increasing your daily calories little by little.
