why don't you get it appraised at a jewelry store? or google the diamond's carat wt and quality and see what comparable ones are selling for.

What are the 4 C's of the ring. That's the only way to tell if a ring is a good quality. Price is subjective.

if you like the ring, then it shouldn't matter. however, rings sold at department stores are generally not certified--meaning they have not been graded by an independent gem institute. that said, you don't know exactly what you are getting before you buy. i used to work at a jewelry chain store and we had certified rings, and then rings that had a "general" rating. they were coded and we had to look it up, but it was not always 100%. i would have it appraised by a professional appraiser, which will cost between $50-100. if you're not satisfied, you can return it.

Generally speaking, Kohls has a decent quality and good reputation. They are not a custom jeweler, but you are aware of that going in.
Jewelry - no matter where you buy it - is marked up dramatically and if you are around when a store needs to move its inventory, you can certainly benefit from the cost savings.

Look at it and you will be able to tell a little about the quality. Does it look yellow? Can you see clouds or dark spots in it? Does it come with a GIA report? You can also get it appraised if you are still unsure.

Not necessarily bad quality, just make sure they give you all the specifics of the ring like the 4c's ...sounds like its a good ring, they just maybe trying to sell it faster to make way for a new shipment. I'm sure its beautiful and good quality.

check out the info from bluenile about the 4 c's

I wouldn't consider it poor quality......it's the holiday season, everything gets marked down so they can clear out the old inventory and bring in the new inventory....

Thats a great deal, but u should find out the 4 C's before u buy it, and if u already bought it take it to a jeweler so they can tell u!...good luck

Probably not - there would be specs with the ring, so you can compare prices that way.
This is nice, though I prefer a round stone, in yellow gold -
