I've been in one for 4 years. he lives in Germany and i live in California and we are happy together. We look at the distance as a challenge and we know that it won't be this way forever. We do a lot of things for eachother and we trust one another. It definately hard work but its doable. It takes communication, trust and honesty and a bit of creativiyt too. Email me if you have more questions or if you want some ideas. Good luck and i hope things are working out for you and your guy. :)

The trick about long-distance is that you BOTH need to have a strong attraction for each other. If you do, then it could work! That is, it could work as long as you both discuss terms with each other. First, discuss terms with each other. Tell him that you want to be able to meet him in person so you can be physical and you can hold each other. Second, you MUST be ABSOLUTELY sure that he is the one for you! If he isn't, and you meet someone else just like him who lives SO much closer, what would stop you from indulging this person?
I am in a long-distance relationship. My girl is a 7 hour drive a way. Sure, we get sad, but we spend the entire day either texting each other or on the phone with each other. I spend all of my money on bills and taking an Amtrak train to see her. We see each other like once or twice a month, but we are so compatible and are so attracted to each other that we NEVER want to lose each other and want nobody else.
My point is that you need to have a strong stance in this relationship. You better be sure hes worth it, and vice versa. It can definitely work out, but you do need physical contact(trust me on this one). And, while you are separated, you should talk, email, and text as MUCH as humanly possible!

i personally dont trust long distance relationships because you never know what tehy could be doing away from you. also yall met over interent and youve never actually seen each other face to face. people are different in person. this is tricky because yall seem to get along great, i say go for it. but dont have your hopes up, taht way if it does work out, you'l lbe that much happier. GOOD LUCK! ;)
