i suppose the basic concept of an afterlife paradise is based in the religious conditioning of my childhood but my idea of what constitutes a paradise is extremely different from that of my Christian upbringing. Christian heaven with it's pearly gates, walls made of precious stones and streets paved with gold holds no appeal for me, it's so based in a worldly wealth value system that it sounds more like an upscale shopping mall than paradise. my idea of paradise is based in my own value system. i value green growing things, diverse animal and plant life in diverse Eco systems, the rage and soft rhythms of the oceans and all the wondrous life living within. i value a clean air, water and dirt, wild creatures free to be what they are and humans who hold these things as sacred as i do. paradise is Earth without humans greedy stupidity and destructive arrogance.
i like to imagine the existence of parallel universes and that there is an Earth that hasn't been ruined by the human egotistical need to have "dominion" over the it's natural beauty. and that maybe, after i die, my soul will somehow re-manifest on that unspoiled parallel Earth because i Love this present Earth so much and feel remorse and mourning for what we selfish humans have done to it ... like i learned the painful lesson of waste and selfishness and would never allow what happened here to happen there.

Hmm...
okay this will sound, probably, trivial to a lot of people.
but my idea of paradise isn't so much about where I would be but who else would be there.
[what's almost funny is that I WILL have this someday soon enough...so yea.]
I envision my bf/future husband Brian, and his son Nick..and the 4 kids we want to have =) all just comfortable with each other. running around and playing and being happy and content. =]
also being the person I am it would have to be at least semi-warm because I despise the cold ♥.
--this, obviously comes from what would make me happy...although Wicca doesn't discourage against (almost) free-reign happiness ;).
Blessed be.

I gotta go with my buddy UP on this one-personal paradise involves some place where I am at one with nature. A place where I am happy and peaceful
In this place there is no hate, predjudice and sickness.
Once upon a time I thought it was heaven but now I realize that concept is just silly

I think I get it from what would make me happy. To me paradise has some golf courses, a good place for my friends, family, and I to get together for fun, and beaches like you see on the Corona commercials.

Paradise is where I can study and learn and grow. Paradise is where wisdom is shared freely with everyone, and not squandered. Paradise is not a place, it is a state of mind.

Quote from office space: "Two chicks at the same time, man!"
haha-- no, seriously... learning new things , being with my family, the good things in life. I believe my current life is as close to paradise as I'll get and I'm actually glad of that fact.

I have no set idea of paradise.
1 Corinthians 2: 9 Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

That it turn right into a fairy tale made up by ability of folk living 1000's of years in the past in profoundly ignorant situations, who might desire to not think of their existence ending on the time of their deaths. quite considerate human beings of braveness nicely known at present that at their deaths they'll enter into an particularly final sleep from which they'll on no account awaken. Fairy memories die tense nonetheless, and approximately 4 out of 5 human beings nevertheless seem forward to immortality which will final invariably - as stupid because of the fact the assumption is, in case you seem at it heavily.

if there were a paradise for me it would be: a huge mountain of drugs only i could take and are only usable with my permission, tons of hot slutty girls who are intellegent, awesome rock music playing really loud on a huge stereo, all my friends there, no sickness, no bad highs or bad trips and no overdoses. and a really huge tv with tons of awesome movies.
i get that from what would make me and my friends happy.
edit: oh and a HUGE library with a huge philosophy and science section and a huge history section and a huge psychology section.

my little white house
with a small garden
in the middle of a field of red flowers and no one around for miles
my kitchen window over looks my garden , which is filled with yellow flowers
and the air smells sooo sweet
if i go into the town
it is almost medivial looking
with cobble stone streets
but clean lol
there are many buildings , libraries , stores , halls , schools .... all the normal stuff
