i have engouh money to pay for it and she still said no

she says it would take away from family time, and i said that i could try it out for one month and if it does then she can take it away

It is a #4 issue. Your mom said NO. That should be enough. She really does not need a reason for you. It is her decision not yours. Look up rule #4 in the 10 commandments. 'Nuf said.

I am a mom and there is no way you could convince me. I am sure that you would be texting during class when you are supposed to be paying attention. You would probably text so much that you developed carpal tunnel syndrome..not to mention the extra exspense. Forget it. She loves you and that is why she won't do it. Other kids have it because their parents just want them to shut up and leave them alone or because they are more interested in being a friend to their child instead of a parent. When they grow up and are losers with loser jobs you will be raking in the cash. This is what your mom wants for you. All good moms do.

You get a job and pay for it. Then ask your Mom as you will have leverage for convincing her.
