Sunday is the day Jesus was raised from the Dead. That is why we consider it our Sabbath. God said you shall work Six days and rest on the 7 day. Just as He created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7 Day. Note I don't have a clue how long a day is for God. We Christians rest on Sunday and worship God even though the Jews call it the first day of the week.

by convention, most churches retain the concept of the Sabbath, but celebrate it on Sunday instead of Saturday because Jesus arose on a Sunday.

The ancient Hebrew law (which begins with the 10 Commandments) was, for Christians, superseded by the grace of God through Jesus. That does not mean that Christians act in ways contrary to the principles of that law (love of neighbor - humanity - precludes murder and stealing, for example), but they are not held to the letter of the law. Rather, they should follow the principles underlying the law - summed of in both Hebrew and Christian scriptures as the love of God and love on neighbor. But Christians are not held to Hebrew dietary laws, for example.

God wants us to set aside time for worship, rest and community. That can be done at any time.

10 Commandments are not Christian, they are the Law of Moses. (Colossians 2:14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross) We are under the Law of Christ (Galatians 6:2)

From the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 on, Christians met to worship on Sunday (first day of the week). This is because it is the day Christ arose.

Acts 20:7 Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread

Sunday is the day that Jesus rose from the dead. Also we are told to bring our tithes and offerings to the church on the first day of the week--which is Sunday. These are the two reasons why Christians keep Sunday holy.

“Let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or SABBATHS…” (Col 2:16) “One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it”(Romans 14:5-6).

But actually, EVERY day is a Sabbath to a believer who has entered His rest (Hebrews 4:10).

Sunday is the day of Sabbath. On the Sabbath, you're not supossed to not work, and use that day to worship god. That's why churches have mass on sundays.
