did you take the photographs, what are they of, and how do you know what size to enlarge it to? thanks..i'm thinking of taking some images of the locale I'll be in and framing them, and hanging them somewhere.

yes, and yes
one is of a place downtown that my lovely and talented wife took for a project for the local photo alliance
another is a nite shot i did of a local industry for the same project. they are both 11x17 (about...i think) and matted and framed with glass.

I've got two 5x7" images. One was taken of a park bench, while the other is taken of 3 flowers. They look really good on my wall. Another 8x10" image of a park.

I actually have more drawings then framed photographs.

I have portraits up I have taken of my children. If it goes on the wall, it must be 11 x 14 or larger, plus a mat around them. Smaller than that and they are framed and put on tabletops.

8*10 is a nice size for lanscapes. Bigger is good too, but the printers that print really good quality large size photos are super expensive.

I have 5X7,8X10 some panoramic larger. I also paint some of my images in oils.
